Ventura Smalley grew up in Sonoma County; as of now, he is the youngest radio DJ. At a young age, his grandma introduced him to a radio where he would listen to a nightly syndicated radio show. Ventura always wanted to host a nightly radio show; he had big dreams of becoming a radio super star. At 14 years old, Ventura secured his own radio program at a local community radio station. He called the local paper and convinced them to write a story about him. Soon other community radio stations wanted to air his night show, but Ventura realized he couldn't be on all five radio stations at once! Ventura created a tiny, nightly syndicated radio show to send out to those stations; however, that wasn't enough for Ventura; he wanted more. Ventura would visit Amaturo Sonoma Media Group and want to work with them; unfortunately, Ventura was too young and needed a work permit. The day Ventura turned 15, he got his work permit and started working with the company. Ventura worked hard to fulfill his career aspirations to be on the radio. What does Ventura do when he is off the air? Well, he goes fishing, and he also enjoys trying new local restaurants in downtown Santa Rosa.
